01 Start with the need
What must keep working.
Design for essential winter loads first. Capacity and autonomy must be calculated from actual equipment, starting current and operating hours — not from a generic package.
Practical route
- Record the wattage of every critical appliance and required runtime.
- Start with a certified portable power station or a protected battery-inverter system.
- Do not connect backup to apartment wiring without a design and qualified electrician.
- For pumps, lifts and central heating equipment, initiate a shared association project.
Financing: Individual apartment systems are normally self-funded; common-building equipment may qualify for association programmes.
